Hi let me introduce myself, my name is Hollie Sky Shardlow. I am the Founder of Sky Spa Wellness Centre. I am a massage and beauty therapist with 19 years experience and a personal trainer and wellness coach with 8 years experience. I’m married to my best friend Daniel Shardlow and we have 2 beautiful children. Our daughter Olivia Sky and son Jack Ocean.
I’ve known from a very young age that I was born to heal and help others. My background was managing 5 star Spas and Salons in London where I lived for 8 years. The last spa I managed before going self employed was The Laguna Health & Spa in the Park Plaza Cardiff when I moved back to Wales. I enjoyed my time as spa manger over the years but managing a team of therapists took me away from doing what I love most, and that’s the hands on work and 121 experience of intuitively treating and healing people.
Being a mother, healer, therapist and wellness coach is most certainly my calling and purpose in life. 🙏
I employ a holistic approach to Wellness. A holistic approach to health simply means that a person works to maintain a good working balance between mind, body and soul. Holistic treatment is designed to help achieve that balance.
I help people to focus on their well being and get their health and fitness back on track so they can wake up feeling happy, positive, energised, loving their bodies and ready to embrace the day.
My aim is to always coach people in a way that suits them, whether that’s at the studio, outdoors, online or at home, and to get you exactly where you want to be. Whether the goal is to lose weight, tone up, gain strength or learn about nutrition, injury/illness prevention, pain management, or how to relieve stress, tension and anxiety? Its my passion to help!

So here’a a little insight :)
Is it always sunshine and rainbows in Hollie’s World?
The short answer is No. It all depends on how my body and mindset is that day. For example if I’ve not slept, drank enough water, fed my body with the right nutrition it needs or exercised, then all these play a huge role on how I’m going to feel and deal with life that day.
How am I so positive and upbeat?
It is in my nature to always find the positives in every situation and look on the bright side of life, as I am strong believer in a positive mind creates a positive life. My goal and mission is to spread as much positivity, love and light as I possibly can. I know I cannot control everything so I try to focus on all the things that are in my control and thats my health, my words, my actions, how I handle my feelings, how I respond to situations, how I take care of myself and how I treat others and try to be the change I want to see in the world. So I choose to be upbeat with a positive proactive approach to life. This does not mean that I am never sad or reactive. Lack of sleep, hormones, kids, stress etc still get me down (I am only human), I just choose to be happy and positive as much as I can. Not living in fear helps keep me upbeat also.
Have I always been fit and healthy?
I’ve not always looked after myself well over the years. I partied through most of the 8 years I lived in London, intoxicating my body, never stretching or exercising and I burnt out regularly while massaging 8 hours a day with very little sleep, food and water (basic survival needs) That lifestyle finally took its toll on me and I hit rock bottom. I had a decision to make. I could stay living in rock bottom and accept the reality, or I could create a new reality. I went travelling around the world to find myself again and stayed in Brazil for 3 months and when I returned to London I decided to move back home to Wales. It felt like a step back at the time as I built a good career in London managing 5 Star Spa’s but the lifestyle I was living there lead me to a very dark place. It’s true that sometimes you have to loose yourself to find yourself.
What has shown up a lot along my journey was a lack of self love and healthy boundaries. For years I have always been a yes woman. Always saying yes to other people which ended up me saying no to myself. Once I started to focus my energy on self love, self worth and my own healing I was able to create some healthy boundaries. From learning to set boundaries it supported me to take my health and well being more seriously. The reason why I am so passionate about all things Wellness and natural health is because my wellness journey saved my life. All the tools work if you work them. You can achieve anything you put your mind to. I would be in a very different place right now if I did not learn how to prioritise my own wellbeing and heal myself not just others.
