Surrendering to Make Room for the New

This season of my life has been all about surrender. Not giving up, but trusting that sometimes we have to let go of what we've built to make room for what we're becoming.

Many of you know I've spent over two decades immersed in the spa and wellness industry, managing luxury spas across Wales and London before opening Sky Spa six years ago.

If you know me, you'll know I never do anything by halves. I pour my heart and soul into everything I create, and Sky Spa has been no exception.

Over the years I've worn every hat imaginable. I was the director, therapist, massage tutor, marketer, receptionist, salesperson, payroll department and often the person keeping all the moving parts together behind the scenes. I loved building an incredible team and creating a space where people could come to slow down, heal and reconnect. But as the business grew, so did the responsibility. Some days felt heavy, and deep down I knew something had to change.

I've realised that if I truly want to step into this next chapter as an educator and mentor,

I have to create space for it. I can't keep holding onto every role and expect to grow.

I've also been learning a lot about balance. For so long I've lived in my masculine energy—always doing, building, organising and carrying the weight of everything. While that energy helped me build successful businesses, I know it isn't where I want to live forever.

I'm choosing to move into a softer way of leading, one that allows more flow, creativity, presence and trust.

Nature has always been where I feel most at home. It's where I breathe more deeply, think more clearly and reconnect with myself. Looking back, it was probably only a matter of time before Sky Spa found its home surrounded by trees instead of four walls. Relocating to Golden Grove Retreat feels incredibly aligned, and collaborating with my soul sister Louise and the beautiful Golden Grove community feels like something that was always meant to happen. So many of you already know and love this special place, and bringing our worlds together feels like the most natural next step.

This isn't the end of Sky Spa—it's an evolution. Alongside beautiful spa days, retreats and wellness experiences immersed in nature, I'm also following another calling that's been growing quietly for years. Therapists have always asked me how I built my businesses, found clients, created opportunities and kept growing. Now feels like the right time to share everything I've learned. Through Sky Academy and the Therapist Success Circle, I'll be teaching, mentoring and supporting therapists to build successful businesses of their own, with the opportunity to become part of the Sky Team—our network of trusted practitioners working across multiple locations.

When I look back, every challenge, every lesson and every difficult decision has led me here. Surrender has shown me that letting go isn't losing something; it's making space for something even more aligned. This chapter feels lighter, more expansive and more authentic than ever before, and I can't wait to share it with you.

With love, strength & Surrender

Hollie Sky
